DOCTOR JOINS CONWAY REGIONAL'S POTTSVILLE CLINIC
Leslie Ward, MD, a family medicine physician, has joined the medical staff of Conway Regional Medical Clinic-Pottsville.
Leslie Ward, MD, a family medicine physician, has joined the medical staff of Conway Regional Medical Clinic-Pottsville.
“We are excited to welcome a physician of Dr. Ward’s qualifications to our growing medical staff at Conway Regional Medical Clinic-Pottsville,” said Billy Henry, Director of Conway Regional’s Specialty and Primary Care Network. “Her experience in providing family health care in the River Valley makes her a great fit for the clinic.” Dr. Ward, a Danville resident, has more than eight years of experience caring for patients at hospitals and family clinics located throughout the River Valley area including Mercy Hospital in Ozark and John Ed Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville as well as clinics in Danville, Havana and Ola.
A native of Booneville, Dr. Ward has found her niche in providing health care in small towns. “My favorite setting for patient care has always been a small town or rural clinic; I love to see people of all ages, especially kids,” said Dr. Ward. She added, "Conway Regional is doing an excellent job of improving access to health care in the Pottsville area. In the near future, we are planning to have orthopedists and a general surgeon providing care at our clinic. This is a tremendous resource that will greatly benefit Pottsville and the surrounding areas."
Dr. Ward graduated from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and received her medical degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. She completed two years of pediatrics training at Arkansas Children’s Hospital as well as a family medicine residency at the UAMS Area Health Education Center in Texarkana.
She has joined a medical staff that includes Natalie Hill and Carol Townsend, both of whom are Advance Practice Registered Nurses. The clinic has nine employees on staff.
